Andrew Cohen appears regularly on Washington This Week on CTV News Channel, discussing politics and government in the United States with Mary Kate Cary, a journalist and professor at the University of Virginia. As commentators of different views, they have been disagreeing on fundamental issues in American life for years, with respect and humour. During the election of 2020, they discussed the presidential primaries, where Andrew reported from New Hampshire, as well as the candidate debates, party conventions, election night, post-election challenges and the inauguration. Andrew has also appeared on CBC, TVO, CNN, PBS, NPR, MSNBC and Sirius Satellite Radio.

Andrew is an associate professor in the School of Journalism and Communication at Carleton University in Ottawa. He has twice been awarded the Fulbright Scholarship and is a Global Fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, D.C. As a lecturer, Andrew has spoken to the Fulbright Foundation, the White House Historical Association (Washington), American University (Washington), Middlebury College (Vermont), The John F. Kennedy Museum Foundation (Hyannis Port, Massachusetts) and the Suntory Foundation (Tokyo).
